VOCAB STORY DUE 3/13/15

Use at least 3 of the most recent words you were given and another 5 from any previous list this semester (check out the list on quizlet if you've forgotten or look over your list).  Write a story or an essay where the words are used correctly in context and where it is evident that you understand the meaning of the word itself.  Please do not cram all words in one sentence and do not include the definition of the word in the sentence.  BTW, a list of words with their definitions does not count as a story.  Underline, or bold or CAPITALIZE the vocabulary choice you've made.

Enjoy!  Post your story under comments below.  I recommend writing it out on paper or on a word document first before posting on the comments or else you risk losing all the work if there's a posting glitch.  If you have a blog, you can write it on your blog and provide a link to your blog in the comments.  I must be able to access that blog entry.

DUE:  end of 6th period on 3/13/2015

  1. Seeing my reflection in the mirror, I realized that I was not happy. I been talking to my ex high school lover and I’m starting to feel like it’s very ABOMINABLE for me to keep thinking about him. I look down at my hand and see the beautiful bracelet that gives me ANALEPSIS of him. I’m not sad but I’m not happy either. My love life is not the same with Chris. I care about him , but I don’t love him anymore. I approached Chris and gave him a kiss I asked him “Do you love me?” “I do Abigail” He said in a FLIPPANT tone. Lately Christ has been acting different.Everytime I try to have a conversation he has a SNARKY manner making him so annoying. We been getting in DIATRIBES because he was SLIPSHOD about everything that was important to me. And after everything Chris still remains ADAMANT that I will not change the way we live. I had enough! I looked straight at him and told him “I’m not going to marry you.. I never loved you. The love of my life is Brian.” I felt so relived. Brian was perfect, he was cute, nice, and ERUDITE. I looked at the clock and I knew that I only had 10 min to get the airport before Brian left New York. I ran out the door. Only Venus knows if I’ll make it on time to tell him how much I loved him.

  2. In a world far from here, a long time ago yet far into the future, there lived a DEMURE young female. She was a bipedal creature, with a long face, and large doe shaped eyes. Sadly this female was owned by a SADISTIC man, so she didn't have a name. Often times she BEMOANED her situation, with long OMINOUS chirps and clicks that her kind often made. Her master often kicked at her and spat at her, yelling ADAMANTLY that he had only bought her for her RESPLENDENT outer shell, which had the sheen of a mother pearl. She was tired of the abuse she suffered at the many hands of her master. It was without regret that one night she snuck into his room and breathed out, long and low, filling the room with the NOXIOUS gas from the her poison gland. As she heard her master's heart stop, she felt filled with relief. Now she could pray for ABSOLUTION, and she could live out the rest of her life peacefully. Her heart soared in her chest. Finally, she could have a name.

  3. Dr. Mitch Hansen was a scientist who was immune to all diseases and toxins. Mitch spent all of his life studying himself. He often BILKED politicians and company owners to fund his experiments. As a child, Mitch was an ANOMALY. Mitch was exposed to many diseases such as polio, HIV, small-pox, but he was immune to all of them. Doctors and scientists around the world came to study Mitch. When Mitch turned 18, he was tired of all these experiments and wanted to attend Heidelberg University so he can figure out how he was immune to all diseases for himself. While at Heidelberg, the young, ERUDITE Mitch got a PhD. After he graduated, he exposed himself to man NOXIOUS gases, none had any effect on him. One day, Mitch’s friend and colleague, Henrick Peterson, suggested that it’s time to give up Mitch’s research. Mitch shouted “That’s BLASPHEMY, I’ve spent my entire life devoted to finding out why I am the way I am.”

Henrick was CONTRITE, how could he ask such a question? For the next couple of days, Mitch would bemoan Henrick because of his question. Mitch got over the question, and Henrick was ABSOLVED after that. During one experiment, Mitch injected himself with blood from an ebola patient and he contracted ebola. Ebola was the only disease Mitch ever caught. Being the FACETIOUS man he was, Mitch made many jokes in his final days.
